Download Notability on PC

Notability is a popular note-taking application available on the Apple ecosystem. Used by a large number of students, working professionals, and researchers across the globe, this app has earned the Editor’s Choice Award and ranks 31st on the list of productivity apps on the Apple App Store. But, it is not available on Windows. While that can come off as a bummer for many Windows users, there are ways to get it on your Windows computer. And since you are interested in doing that, I’ll help you.

Why Notability?

The app comes packed with a number of tools and features that most of its alternatives do not offer.

Learn

Since I was a small child, I used to find academics slightly boring. “Notability Learn” did God’s work by taking boredom out of my Notes. By using Learn, I can quickly summarize my long notes, revisit their summaries, and test my knowledge with Flashcards and Quizzes- it’s clearly making learning easier and interesting for me.

Record and Replay your Notes

My handwriting isn’t the fastest, which made note-taking harder for me during college years. Thanks to Notability, that doesn’t have to be so for everyone else. Its “Record and Replay” feature allows you to record audio from your lectures, meetings, and discussions and syncs them to your notes.

Transcribe Audio Notes

Once you have recorded a meeting, lecture, or discussion with your peers, Notability also allows you to transcribe these audio notes and turn them into text, so revision is never an issue. And the best part- you can transcribe your long lecture audios and use Learn to summarize them and revise with Flashcards and Quizzes.

Apart from that, it has the following interesting features:

  • Handwriting recognition (for iPad)
  • MyScript to convert handwritten mathematical equations into high-resolution images
  • Categorize with Subjects and Dividers
  • Use Siri to set Notes reminders
  • Incredible iCloud sync
  • Make your notes more useful with images, videos, GIFs, stickers, and sticky notes
  • Protect your Subjects with Passwords to secure your notes data

How to Download Notability?

To Download Notability on your Windows PC, you first need to set up a virtual macOS inside your existing OS. To do this, you can use VMWare, VirtualBox, or another similar application. I have shared the detailed installation process on this website’s homepage along with all the files you may need. However, if you come across any questions, feel free to leave a comment.

Why Use a Virtual Machine?

Since the app is only available on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, Windows users can not find it on the Microsoft store or anywhere else on the web. But, Notability is a feature-rich note-taker that users love to use. This creates a parallel demand among the Windows fraternity, and Virtual Machines are the most effective and efficient tools to run macOS on a Windows PC and use all its exclusive apps, including Notability.
