Can Notability convert handwriting to text?

Yes. On iPad, Notability Lite and Plus can convert handwritten content into text. To do this:

  • Open a note
  • Tap on Select icon in the toolbox
  • Circle the handwritten part you want to convert to text
  • Select Convert
  • Select Text and your handwriting will be converted.

You can replace the last step by selecting Math to convert handwritten equations to high-resolution images.

Can Notability do Math?

Notability Plus’ MyScript feature can detect mathematical equations from handwritten text and convert them to high-resolution images. However, Notability does not provide solutions to these equations.

Does Notability save deleted notes?

Yes. Notability stored recently deleted notes in the Recently Deleted Notes tab. These notes can be delivered within 30 days of deletion and are permanently deleted afterwards.
